What you should know about CharRees Vineyard
The CharRees vineyard story began in 2007 when Charles Esma Hill’s visionary dream of owning a vineyard restaurant became a reality when they bought an established vineyard on the outskirts of Ashburton in January 2007. The vineyard which was established in 199 now consists of 400 Pinot Gris and 3500 Pinot Noir vines, and in 2008 we planted 1800 Riesling plants. Upon picking our first vintage in 2008 we have now established our own label CharRees
We had a bit of a freak wind move some of the nets over which meant we had to receive them off and re conceal them. We at CharRees have been ambitious showing our wines at the Ashburton and Christchurch A P Shows, Geraldine Arts Plants as healthy as at our local Ashburton Farmer’s Market.
